AJC Long Island connects our community with AJC’s global advocacy work to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel. Our access to diplomats, elected officials, and interfaith leaders at the local level advances AJC’s broader priorities: combating antisemitism, promoting Israel’s place in the world, and countering the spread of radicalism and extremism.
Our impact extends well beyond the Long Island community, helping AJC achieve tangible results in the form of government policies, formidable alliances, and hard-hitting legislation that make our world safer and more secure.
Driven by our shared values, AJC Long Island builds interfaith understanding in our community. Together with the Long Island Council of Churches, we cosponsor the Interfaith Clergy Committee of Long Island, which maintains and enhances working relations among the leaders of different faith communities. In addition, AJC works closely with the New York Immigration Coalition’s Long Island branch, which advocates for immigrant communities in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
