AJC Chicago connects our community with AJC’s global advocacy work to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel. Our access to diplomats, elected officials, and interfaith leaders at the local level advances AJC’s broader global priorities: combating anti-Semitism, promoting Israel’s place in the world, and countering the spread of radicalism and extremism.
AJC Chicago provides local Jewish community leaders educational and advocacy opportunities, giving them the tools to make a difference. In addition, AJC's ACCESS Chicago initiative empowers today's young Jewish leaders. Learn more about ACCESS Chicago.
Through meetings with Chicago-based diplomats, our International Relations Commission empowers AJC leaders to further our top policy priorities. Each year, Chicago hosts the AJC Midwest Diplomatic Marathon, the largest day of global Jewish advocacy in the Midwest, where we engage with the local consulates of over thirty nations.
Our Intergroup Commission advances AJC’s pioneering role in advancing interfaith relations. AJC Chicago leadership has been at the forefront of establishing and deepening engagement with the Muslim, Christian, Latino, and Greek communities to build mutual understanding.
Whether our engagement takes place at intimate diplomatic advocacy meetings or at large events with civic partners, we build bridges that connect our communities and create opportunities for cooperative action.
