AJC San Francisco is one of 25 regional offices in the United States that advances AJC’s global diplomatic advocacy efforts to combat antisemitism, strengthen Israel’s place in the world, and promote pluralism and democratic values worldwide. The regional offices maintain the agency’s nationwide presence, attract leaders and donors to AJC, enhance the agency’s influence with key local, national and international decision makers and stakeholders, implement advocacy initiatives at the state/local level, and establishes and nurtures diplomatic and community relationships.

Responsibilities:
The Development Coordinator will support the annual development calendar of activities with data and outreach, with the following responsibilities:
Work closely with the Director of Development to organize and manage AJC SF’s annual campaign: Track and support best practices in donor and prospect cultivation, stewardship and solicitations.
- Manage and effectively execute development’s engagement strategies through donor and prospect research, personal communications, and timely communications acknowledging life events (birthdays, etc), check ins, personalized thank you letters, and national leadership opportunities.
- Under the supervision of the development director, support strategies that encourage new gifts, as well as increasing current donor contributions, utilizing targeted messaging reflecting the constituents’ interests and the case for AJC support.
- Optimize use of donor data base (with the support of national staff) to create reports that drive development activities and success.
- Support board committees in leadership development and fundraising.
- Support development director with planning and carrying out small donor meetings and donor cultivation events
- Work with the events coordinator and all San Francisco regional staff on major AJC public programs.
- Performing other tasks needed to support overall office advocacy and impact.
Qualifications:
- Two plus years of relevant experience
- Highly organized and data-oriented: enjoys spreadsheets, data input, tracking to drive goal-oriented activities and success.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Raisers Edge and ability to learn computer programs quickly.
- People-oriented, comfortable and eager to engage with donors and community members.
- Aligned with AJC’s mission and values
- Takes initiative and can work independently, but likes to ask questions and collaborate creatively with professional colleagues and volunteer leadership.
- Knowledge of Bay Area Jewish community preferred but not required.

The salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000, depending on relevant experience.
