The Jewish Confederation of Ukraine and AJC, the global Jewish advocacy organization, have signed an association agreement to formalize their longstanding, cooperative relationship.
Through the Warsaw-based Shapiro Silverberg Central Europe Office and Brussels-based Transatlantic Institute, AJC is in regular contact with Lithuanian officials and diplomats.
After German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s latest visit to the Jewish state, AJC Jerusalem Director Avital Leibovich and AJC Berlin Ramer Institute Director Deidre Berger, answered key questions about the relationship between the German leader and Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and what’s next for Germany-Israel ties.
“Mihnea Constantinescu was a stalwart supporter of the State of Israel, a leader in the fight against antisemitism, and a true friend of the Jewish people. His untimely passing is a great loss for all of us,” said AJC CEO David Harris.
The opening of the Shapiro Silverberg Central Europe Office in Warsaw in March 2017 afforded AJC the opportunity to strengthen its friendship with Slovakia and its people.
