Following a powerful message from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to AJC Global Forum 2022, AJC CEO David Harris spoke about the need for the U.S. Jewish community to redouble its efforts to support Ukraine. AJC has stood by Ukraine’s side since 1991 when the nation declared independence. AJC has engaged with the 300,000-strong Jewish community in Ukraine, working with its leaders and visiting regularly. AJC has led the way in advocating for strong U.S.-Ukraine ties and Ukraine-Israel ties and has supported the Ukrainian people’s right to self-determination.
