Dr. Richard Haass, President of the Council on Foreign Relations, is a veteran diplomat, a prominent voice on American foreign policy, an established leader of nonprofit institutions, and a steadfast friend of AJC. He has served as the Director of Policy Planning for the State Department under Secretary of State Colin Powell (2001-2003); Special Assistant to President George H.W.
