With offices in Israel and the Arab Gulf, American Jewish Committee (AJC) is helping shape the future of the Middle East. AJC Jerusalem forges relationships with Israeli leaders and members of the diplomatic community, and hosts delegations visiting Israel through AJC Project Interchange. AJC’s office in Abu Dhabi builds ties between Israel and Arab nations and promotes understanding among Arabs and Jews.

Through decades of engagement across the Middle East and North Africa, AJC is helping to forge new paths toward peace for Israel and its neighbors. AJC maintains the following offices in the region:
Nearly 60 years ago, AJC became the first American Jewish organization to open an office in Israel. Today, AJC Jerusalem is active in political and diplomatic outreach, interreligious relations, advancing regional partnerships, and strengthening bonds between Israelis and American Jews. It also hosts AJC Project Interchange delegations of influential leaders visiting Israel to experience the country first-hand. LEARN MORE
AJC ABU DHABI: THE SIDNEY LERNER CENTER FOR ARAB-JEWISH UNDERSTANDING
For more than a quarter-century, AJC has maintained extensive contacts in the Arab Gulf, the Levant, and North Africa, visiting the region regularly. In 2021, AJC opened its first office in an Arab nation, AJC Abu Dhabi: The Sidney Lerner Center for Arab-Jewish Understanding. The office works with governments, business and civil society leaders, and media throughout the Arab world; supports further developments in the historic Abraham Accords; advances Arab-Jewish and Muslim-Jewish dialogue; and partners with Jewish communities in the region.
