On Wednesday, October 20, 2021, William (Bill) Barrett, M.D, received the 2021 AJC National Human Relations Award. Event co-chairs were Patricia and Dr. Andrew Filak, Francie and Tom Hiltz, and Eileen and John Barrett.
AJC Dallas 2021 Community of Conscience Evening of Bipartisanship held on October 11, 2021 featured a presentation of the inaugural Community of Conscience Award for Bipartisanship to Congressman Colin Allred (D-32) and Congressman Van Taylor (R-3) for their efforts to work across party lines for the good of constituents and country and panel discussions on timely topics such as Advancing Democratic Values featuring Lindsay Lloyd, Bradford M. Freeman Director of the Human Freedom Initiative at the George W. Bush Institute with Nicole Bibbins Sedaca, Executive Vice President of Freedom House and AJC’s Approach to Coalition Building featuring Consul General Francisco de la Torre Galindo of Mexico; Mohamed Elibiary, Co-Chair of the Muslim-Jewish Advisory Council; and Harriet Whiting, President of AJC Dallas.
The purpose of this conflict of interest policy is to protect American Jewish Committee by ensuring that all employees abide by AJC’s policies and procedures and avoid any real, potential, or apparent conflicts of interest that might, in fact or in appearance, call into question their duties to AJC.
