At AJC Global Forum 2025, families of American-Israeli hostages held by Hamas, along with a former hostage, delivered powerful and deeply moving remarks that gripped the world and stirred global conscience.

Yael and Adi Alexander, parents of Edan Alexander—an American-Israeli hostage from New Jersey still in captivity—shared their emotional story and urged global action to bring him and all the remaining hostages home. On May 12, just weeks after Global Forum, Edan, 21, was released from captivity and is safely back in Israel with his friends and family.

Ruby and Hagit Chen, parents of 19-year-old Itay Chen—the youngest American-Israeli hostage, who was tragically killed on October 7—honored their son’s bravery and called for justice and remembrance.

Noa Argamani, recently rescued from Hamas captivity, opened AJC Global Forum with a powerful plea for the return of those still being held, including her boyfriend, Avinatan Or.

These powerful testimonies are a stark reminder of the human toll of terrorism—and a call to action for the international community.
