AJC CEO Ted Deutch joins CNN's Jake Tapper following the horrific antisemitic shooting outside an AJC event in Washington, D.C., where two young Jewish leaders — Sarah Milgrim z'l and Yaron Lischinsky z'l — were murdered.
“This was an event about humanitarian aid for Gaza. Sarah and Yaron were peacebuilders. Their murder is a devastating example of what happens when antisemitism is normalized — on our streets, on our campuses, and online.”
Deutch calls out the failure of social media platforms to enforce their own hate speech policies and warns that slogans and incitement — left unchecked — lead to real-world violence. He urges the American public, across all political lines, to unite in rejecting antisemitism in all forms.
“It’s not left or right. It’s antisemitism — and it’s killing people.”
