June 9, 2024 — Washington, D.C.
AJC CEO Ted Deutch was joined at the opening plenary of AJC Global Forum 2024 by 28 Jewish leaders from around the world to announce AJC’s Global Call to Action Against Antisemitism. The Call to Action is signed by 47 organizations representing 35 countries and three multi-country umbrella organizations.
Building on the success of previous AJC action plans in Europe and America, AJC’s Global Call to Action Against Antisemitism provides practical policies and action items that governments, social media companies and influencers, schools and colleges, organizations, businesses, media companies and journalists, faith leaders, civil society, and individual community members can adopt in an effort to curb antisemitism.
AJC recently released its newly updated and expanded Call to Action Against Antisemitism, a Society-Wide Nonpartisan Guide for America. Many of the recommendations in AJC’s original Call to Action Against Antisemitism in America were utilized by the White House for the creation of the U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism, released in May 2023.
