ACCESS NY

Empowering Today’s Young Jewish Leaders

ACCESS NY is a community of young Jewish leaders in New York that supports AJC’s mission of combating antisemitism, promoting Israel’s place in the world, and countering the spread of radicalism and extremism, through building relationships and forming alliances with a diverse range of diplomatic and community partners. Through our innovative programming, robust leadership training, and hard-hitting advocacy, ACCESS NY provides a platform through which to engage a young generation of leadership for global Jewish advocacy.

Leadership in Action

Global Reach: ACCESS NY brings together young leaders in New York with representatives from around the world for cultural and advocacy programming. ACCESS NY’s signature Diplomatic Supper Club series builds long-term relationships with diplomats in the New York area and provides opportunities to advocate on key AJC issues. By engaging with members of the diplomatic corps, ACCESS NY leaders gain global perspectives on important international issues and advocate for critical Jewish concerns, such as supporting Israel and combatting antisemitism. Programs like our Culinary Diplomacy series and our Hanukkah Celebration at the Austrian Consulate bring diplomats and young professionals together to build bridges and exchange ideas, while annual travel opportunities allow for on-the-ground learning and action.

Inter-Community Understanding: ACCESS NY’s alliances build relationships with young professional leaders from diverse religious, ethnic, and racial backgrounds. Through active outreach efforts and collaborative programming with our Latino, Muslim, Black, and Asian American partners, young Jewish professionals explore issues of mutual importance. By educating other communities about the Jewish community and being educated by others, we advocate together on behalf of mutual interests and values.

Legislative Action: ACCESS NY works to move the needle on issues that matter. Our “Prep Your Rep” campaign brings ACCESS NY members together with local legislators to combat antisemitism in our communities, while annual advocacy days and the National Leadership Council Fly-In bring ACCESS to the halls of Washington D.C. to advocate on AJC’s priority areas.

Leadership Development: ACCESS is committed to supporting and encouraging the next generation of Jewish leaders. Whether though our innovative ACCESS Leadership Fellowship (ALEF) sessions or ACCESS NY board training workshops, ACCESS NY strives to give our leaders the tools they need to succeed.

ACCESS Marshall Society and National Leadership Council

Members of the Marshall Society and National Leadership Council are the leaders of ACCESS NY, serving as the young pioneers for AJC’s global Jewish advocacy, with unique opportunities to work with local, national, and international leaders to advocate for our shared future.
