Update: On February 22, it was confirmed that Shiri Bibas, and her young boys Ariel and Kfir, were murdered in captivity after being ripped from their Kibbutz Nir Oz home on October 7. Yarden, Shiri’s husband and father to Kfir and Ariel, was also abducted on October 7 but later released on February 1 as part of the hostage agreement. In a post on X, AJC CEO Ted Deutch said: “We are thinking especially of Yarden Bibas, who was just released from Gaza only to sit shiva for his children as he waits in agony for terrorists to release his wife. Hamas has repeatedly shown the world who they truly are—agents of hate and terror.”
