On August 14, the UN Secretary-General “blacklisted” Hamas as a group that uses sexual violence in conflict in a report tracking the use of this horrific tactic in conflicts around the world. This critical and long-sought action would not have occurred absent the tireless efforts of the Dinah Project at Bar-Ilan University, an effort by Israeli experts to document existing evidence and establish legal pathways for holding terror groups like Hamas accountable for sexual violence despite their destructive tactics, as detailed in the group’s landmark July 2025 report, A Quest for Justice. Join us for an important conversation about the significance of the UN’s “blacklisting” of Hamas and the Dinah Project's ongoing efforts to ensure Hamas’s victims and other victims of sexual violence around the world obtain the recognition and justice they deserve.

Trigger Warning: This program contains discussions of sexual violence and other forms of abuse committed by Hamas that occurred during the October 7 attacks and against hostages thereafter.
