Over 700 days after the deadliest attack on Jews since the Holocaust, there are still more than 45 hostages held in captivity by Hamas. At a moment when global attention risks shifting elsewhere, it is more urgent than ever to keep the hostages and their families at the top of the international agenda and press for their immediate release. While this issue has become deeply politicized in the U.S. and Israel, and different families have different perspectives on the strategies to bring their loved ones home, we all agree that they all MUST come home and AJC is dedicated to amplifying these voices. AJC maintains that we can support the State of Israel and Israel's right to defense, while still advocating fiercely for the return of the hostages. For us, these two priorities exist hand-in-hand, and this guides our advocacy around the world.
