More than 1,500 people from over 60 countries and six continents joined together at AJC Global Forum 2023 to celebrate the profound gift that is the Jewish state as it celebrates its 75th anniversary. Among the highlights of Global Forum 2023 over four days included speeches and conversations with a range of Israel’s top leadership, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli President Isaac Herzog, and Yair Lapid, Leader of Israel’s Opposition. Addresses from global leaders from Europe, Latin America, Africa, and more.

In AJC CEO Ted Deutch’s closing remarks to AJC Global Forum 2023 in Israel, Ted thanks all the participants for coming together to celebrate Israel’s 75th birthday, reflect on wide-range of renowned speakers, dignitaries, innovators, and world leaders who joined us in Tel Aviv, and the work that AJC has done over the past year in playing a role in the launch of the U.S. National Strategy to Counter Antisemitism.

In our Closing Plenary, Yossi Klein Halevi, bestselling author of Letters to My Palestinian Neighbor, had a thought-provoking conversation with a dynamic student from AJC’s Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT) program. They explored topics core to the future of Israel and the Jewish people. We also heard from Israeli Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli. Finally, AJC CEO Ted Deutch took to the stage and delivered a rousing call-to-action, inspiring us all.

At the AJC Global Forum 2023, a dynamic panel titled "Women Driving Change in the Middle East" featured inspiring female leaders making significant contributions to their respective fields.

In American Jewish Committee's signature AJC Global Forum session—the Great Debate, experts Dr. Yehuda Kurtzer, President, Shalom Hartman Institute of North America, and Ariel Kahana, Senior Diplomatic Correspondent, Israel Hayom, delve into the compelling topic: "Should Diaspora Jews Have a Say in Israeli Affairs?"

The AJC Sharon Greene Award for Campus Advocacy was presented by Lisa Pruzan, AJC Executive Council, and Charlie Pruzan, AJC Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT) Alumnus to Lily Cohen and Ethan Less from Northwestern University Hillel, as well as Charlotte Aaron, Milton Zerman, and Hannah Krutsiansky from the Jewish Students Association at Berkeley Law.

Lily Cohen, a student at Northwestern University, delivered remarks to the AJC Global Forum 2023 audience thanking American Jewish Committee for the AJC Sharon Greene Award for Campus Advocacy, and for its ongoing support.

At AJC Global Forum 2023, Charlotte Aaron, Milton Zerman, and Hannah Krutiansky, leaders of the Jewish Law Students Association at the UC Berkeley School of Law, received the AJC Sharon Greene Award for Campus Advocacy.

The plenary on the third day gave us an opportunity to hear from a number of voices on American Jewish Committee’s core issues, and featured our signature AJC Global Forum session—the Great Debate.

In an exclusive and insightful conversation at AJC Global Forum 2023, Ron Dermer, Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs, engaged in a dialogue with Jason Isaacson, AJC Chief Policy and Political Affairs Officer.

From the plenary stage, AJC CEO Ted Deutch announced that American Jewish Committee is forming an AJC National Antisemitism Task Force for the implementation of the U.S. National Strategy on Countering Antisemitism.
