Intergroup and Interfaith Advocacy
American Jewish Committee (AJC) Chicago builds strategic coalitions with prominent religious, ethnic, and community leaders across the region. As a global leader in interfaith and intergroup engagement, AJC Chicago cultivates important alliances with the Chicago area’s diverse population. Through these partnerships, we combat antisemitism and hatred targeting other religious and ethnic groups. We advance constructive dialogue and unite diverse leadership to promote shared values and advocate for common concerns.

In addition, AJC Chicago organizes educational forums, social gatherings, and public events that bring AJC and diverse community leaders together. These initiatives foster trust, promote mutual understanding, and facilitate coalition-building across religious and cultural divides. By fostering these relationships and creating opportunities for meaningful dialogue, AJC Chicago strengthens its role as a vital voice in the civic landscape and advances its mission to advocate for the Jewish people and democratic values.

International Advocacy
American Jewish Committee (AJC) Chicago maintains strong relationships with members of the Consular Corps of Chicago, engaging in high-level meetings that advance AJC’s global priorities. By fostering local diplomatic engagement, AJC Chicago helps combat antisemitism, advocates for Israel’s right to exist in peace and security, and counters the rise of radicalism and extremism. Through regular meetings, policy briefings, and strategic advocacy efforts, AJC Chicago works to ensure diplomats are well-informed on issues important to AJC.
