At AJC Global Forum 2025, we paused to honor the remarkable legacies of two visionary leaders who shaped AJC and inspired generations of global advocates: Felice Gaer and Eugene “Gene” Dubow.

Felice Gaer, who led AJC’s Jacob Blaustein Institute for the Advancement of Human Rights for over three decades, was a world-renowned human rights expert, a fearless defender of the vulnerable, and a pioneer in strengthening global mechanisms for justice and dignity.

Eugene Dubow, who held numerous senior positions at AJC—including founding the Berlin Office and directing AJC’s regional offices—was a steadfast bridge-builder and dedicated champion of the German-Jewish relationship, leaving an indelible mark on AJC’s national and international work.

Introduced by Melanie Nelkin, AJC Executive Council, this moving tribute celebrates their profound contributions, moral courage, and enduring impact on the Jewish people and the world.
