On FOX 2 Detroit, Amy Sapeika, Community Director for AJC Detroit, spoke out after the antisemitic attack at a Michigan synagogue, calling on leaders and communities across society to confront the alarming rise in antisemitism.
Said Sapeika: “It’s startling. It’s shocking. It’s upsetting. The question we have to ask ourselves is: What can we change so that Jewish communities don’t have to go through this again and again and again?”
She stressed that combating antisemitism requires more than condemnation after the fact. It demands sustained action from civic leaders, educators, and communities to ensure that Jewish Americans can live and worship safely.
