At AJC Global Forum 2026, American Jewish Committee and the Jewish War Veterans of the United States of America (JWV) honored the service, sacrifice, and enduring contributions of Jewish Americans who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

As America approaches its 250th anniversary and JWV marks 130 years of service, AJC recognized seven distinguished veterans whose military service spans World War II, Vietnam, the Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Global War on Terror. Founded in 1896 to counter antisemitic falsehoods about Jewish military service, JWV has spent more than a century supporting veterans, combating antisemitism, and strengthening the values of patriotism, remembrance, and civic responsibility.

The tribute was followed by a bipartisan conversation featuring Senators John Fetterman (D-PA) and Dave McCormick (R-PA) of Pennsylvania and AJC CEO Ted Deutch. Together, they discussed leadership in a divided time, the U.S.-Israel relationship, combating antisemitism, and the shared responsibility to build a stronger future for America, Israel, and the Jewish people.
