At AJC Global Forum 2026, Harmeet K. Dhillon, Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights at the U.S. Department of Justice, addressed the growing threat of antisemitic violence and intimidation facing Jewish communities across the United States.
Assistant Attorney General Dhillon discussed the work of the U.S. Department of Justice’s Civil Rights Division to combat hate-based violence, protect religious communities, and uphold equal protection under the law.
At a time when many Jewish Americans are questioning their sense of safety and security, the conversation focused on the importance of government leadership, law enforcement, and civil society working together to confront antisemitism and defend democratic values.
