At AJC Global Forum 2026, the AJC Sharon Greene Award for Campus Advocacy was presented to Sophie Kalmin, Class of 2026 at Emory University, representing Emory Hillel.
Created in memory of Sharon Greene—a social worker, mother, and passionate advocate for Jewish life—the award honors student leaders who embody courage, resilience, and Jewish pride in the face of rising antisemitism on college campuses.
Presented by Dr. Alison Greene, Dana Greene, and Joshua Greene—children of Sharon Greene—Sophie was recognized for her leadership and steadfast commitment to supporting Jewish students and fostering a vibrant Jewish community on campus.
As Jewish students confront increasing hostility and isolation, Sophie’s leadership serves as a powerful reminder that the future of Jewish advocacy is in strong hands.
