AJC Dallas connects our community with American Jewish Committee’s global advocacy work to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel. Our access to diplomats, elected officials, and interfaith leaders at the local level advances AJC’s broader global priorities: combating antisemitism, promoting Israel’s place in the world, and countering the spread of radicalism and extremism.
Our impact extends well beyond the Dallas community, helping AJC achieve tangible results in the form of government policies, formidable alliances, and hard-hitting legislation that make our world safer and more secure.
We advance the Dallas Jewish community’s concerns, aspirations, and priority issues by engaging with diplomatic, faith, legislative, and civic-society leaders.
AJC Dallas leads our community in Israel advocacy, having played a central role in securing passage of Texas’s anti-BDS law.
And we are a respected bridge-builder. Our longstanding Jewish-Latino Alliance, our work in Muslim-Jewish engagement, and the Interfaith Council at Thanksgiving Square are a few examples of our effectiveness in strengthening the Jewish community's relationships with other faith and ethnic groups.
Joel Schwitzer has worked in Jewish nonprofit management and fundraising for nearly 30 years. He joined AJC in 2015 and leads the Dallas Regional Office, which covers North and Central Texas as well as Oklahoma.
