May 13, 2025 — New York, NY
Last month, 45 board members, campus leaders, donors, ACCESS (young leadership) and AJC staff from the Dallas Region attended the AJC Global Forum 2025 in New York. This represented the largest delegation sent from our area in the history of the conference.
Global Forum is the premier global Jewish advocacy conference, drawing well over 2,000 people from dozens of countries to tackle the most pressing issues facing the Jewish people, Israel, America and our world. We heard from influential leaders like Congressman Ritchie Torres and President Santiago Pena of Paraguay, from headline speakers like freed hostage Noa Argamani and Urban War expert John Spencer and attended interactive breakout sessions with impressive experts like Richard Haas and Elliot Abrahms.
AJC Dallas ACCESS board member Alexis Sherman noted, “Global Forum showed me the power of AJC’s network. Connecting with other ACCESS members from many countries and diverse backgrounds reminds me that together, we can drive meaningful change.
Through the AJC Dallas Stan and Barbara Rabin Fund for Coalition Building, the delegation included Christian allies from Passages Israel as well as Zionist Christian student leaders from UT Austin. UT student Stefano Chaves reported, “as a non-Jewish ally, Global forum gave me a unique opportunity to deepen my understanding of Jewish identity- fostering not only a greater appreciation for challenges facing the Jewish and Zionist communities but also a broader awareness of the context in which the Jewish people live, persevere and continue to grow as a community.
