AJC Seattle connects our community with AJC’s global advocacy work to enhance the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel. Our access to diplomats, elected officials, and interfaith leaders at the local level advances AJC’s broader global priorities: combating anti-Semitism, promoting Israel’s place in the world, and countering the spread of radicalism and extremism.
Our impact extends well beyond the Seattle community, helping AJC achieve tangible results in the form of government policies, formidable alliances, and hard-hitting legislation that make our world safer and more secure.

Antisemitism and Anti-Zionism, 2019 Update: New Developments and New Dangers
Renowned scholar, Professor Paul Burstein will discuss the complex relationship between Anti-Zionism and antisemitism.
As an example: In 2018, the national leadership of Women’s March were accused of anti-Zionism and antisemitism. In 1975, the International Women’s Year Conference in Mexico City, turned into a hatefest attacking Israel and Jews. That same year, the U.N. General Assembly passed a resolution labeling Zionism as a form of racism. In 2019, Zionism is being equated with apartheid; So what is new about today’s antisemitism and anti-Zionism? Why are they more dangerous? And why are they much more likely to affect you personally?
