Presented by AJC ACCESS Miami and Broward
October 2025 – June 2026
What is the Shepard Broad ACCESS Fellowship?
The Shepard Broad Fellowship: An AJC ALEF Program is a premier leadership experience for exceptional emerging Jewish professionals in their 20s and 30s who are ready to shape the future through advocacy, diplomacy, and community-building.
Over eight immersive months (October–May), fellows engage in exclusive, behind-the-scenes conversations with diplomats, elected officials, faith leaders, and social changemakers. Through site visits, roundtables, and interactive workshops, they tackle today’s most urgent issues—from rising antisemitism and threats to democracy, to global Jewish pluralism and U.S.-Israel relations.
Fellows emerge with more than knowledge, they gain a powerful peer network, direct mentorship, and a deeper understanding of their own Jewish identity and leadership style. They also join AJC’s global network of alumni and have the opportunity to attend the AJC Global Forum—our premier international conference—at no cost.
Rooted in the legacy of Shepard Broad, the fellowship equips bold, values-driven leaders with the tools, relationships, and vision to advance a more inclusive, secure future for the Jewish people and all communities.
Fellows are asked to make a minimum donation of $625 for the years 2025 and 2026.
Fellowship Format
The Shepard Broad ACCESS Fellowship consists of eight in-person sessions, taking place from October 2025 to June 2026 at rotating locations across Miami-Dade and Broward Counties. Sessions will run in the evening to accommodate working professionals. In addition to the core sessions, fellows will be invited to participate in AJC regional and national programs and advocacy opportunities.
Fellows will:
- Learn from AJC experts and local leaders on key policy and advocacy priorities
- Build meaningful relationships with a cohort of values-driven, civically engaged peers
- Gain tools to advocate on issues including antisemitism, U.S.-Israel relations, and intergroup partnerships
- Participate in high-level AJC briefings and ACCESS national programming
- Explore pathways to continued leadership with AJC
