Yesterday morning, AJC Los Angeles attended the LA County Board of Supervisors meeting in support of a motion put forward by newly elected Supervisor Lindsey Horvath.
This motion recommended that new LA County Sheriff Robert Luna report back to the Board in writing with data on the antisemitic incidents that have occurred over the last five years, including any trends or data available regarding the incidents.
AJC Los Angeles Director Rick Hirschhaut, along with several other Jewish organizational colleagues, testified in support of this motion, which passed unanimously. We thank Supervisor Horvath for her partnership and dedication to fighting antisemitism and are grateful for the opportunity to support this timely initiative.
