The AJC Dallas Annual Meeting was an inspiring evening marked by thoughtful dialogue, heartfelt tributes, and a renewed commitment to our mission enhancing the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel. It brought together AJC supporters, leaders, and friends to reflect on a remarkable year and to look ahead with purpose.
One of the highlights of the evening was a powerful and timely conversation featuring Dr. Dana Levinson Steiner, AJC Director of ACCESS Global, in dialogue with content creator Mer Hersam and local food writer Rachel Pinn. Their discussion focused on the increasingly critical role of content creators in shaping narratives, supporting the Jewish community, and pushing back against antisemitism on social media. As digital spaces grow ever more influential, their insights into the challenges and opportunities for Jewish representation online underscored the urgent need for strategic engagement in the conversation.
The evening also offered a meaningful moment of transition in leadership. We extended deep gratitude to Stuart Blaugrund, whose tenure as AJC Dallas President has been marked by dedication, wisdom, and a tireless commitment to AJC’s values. In his reflections, Stuart shared how our community navigated profound challenges with strength and purpose. We now warmly welcome Tina Wasserman as the incoming President. Tina brings a rich history of service, creativity, and passion for Jewish life and advocacy. With her inspiring remarks calling on us all to engage and advocate, we are confident she will lead us into a dynamic and purposeful future.
In a moment of profound honor and remembrance, AJC Dallas celebrated the inaugural Stan and Barbara Rabin Lifetime Achievement Award, presented to Stan and Barbara z”l Rabin. Stan and Barbara’s legacy of leadership, philanthropy, and unwavering dedication to the Jewish people and broader community continues to inspire us all. This new award, established in their names, will serve as a lasting tribute to their extraordinary impact and as a benchmark of excellence for future generations. Stan was delightfully surprised by a passionate tribute video you can view here: Stan and Barbara Rabin AJC Tribute Video.
The evening also marked a significant milestone for our leadership team. We welcomed a new cohort of dedicated board members, including Chad Hagle, Liz Horowitz, Betsy Kleinman, and Susan Paul, whose fresh perspectives and talents promise to invigorate our work. At the same time, we extended heartfelt thanks to those rolling off the board, Michael Hoffman, Manuel Rajunov, and Perla Rosenstock, whose contributions and service have helped shape AJC Dallas’ path and progress. Their impact will continue to resonate for years to come.
The 2025 AJC Dallas Annual Meeting reminded us that our strength lies in our people—those who lead, those who serve, and those who speak out. Together, we are building a new future for Jews and all people.
