For twenty-five years, AJC Dallas and the World Affairs Council have partnered together to create the International Perspectives Series (IPS). This much-loved series provides a forum to discuss some of the key geopolitical and foreign affairs issues impacting the United States. The 2025 series culminated in an appearance by Ambassador Marc Sievers, Director of AJC Abu Dhabi: the Sidney J. Lerner Center for Arab Jewish Understanding.

Prior to his time with AJC, Sievers spent more than 30 years as a U.S. diplomat with posts throughout the Middle East and North Africa, with his final posting as Ambassador to the Sultanate of Oman from 2016-2019. The World Affairs Council session featured Ambassador Sievers in conversation with Ambassador Robert Jordan, who served as U.S. Ambassador to Saudi Arabia from 2001-2003.

Jordan and Sievers also spoke at an intimate luncheon at the home of Harriet Whiting and Henry Fleisher for members of the AJC National Leadership Council Donor Recognition Society. Additionally, Sievers met with AJC ACCESS (young leadership) members at the home of Ray and Deanne Termini for drinks and conversation.

Finally at a lunch session co-sponsored with and held at the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Ambassador Sievers discussed AJC’s work in the gulf, especially highlighting the new AJC Center for a New Middle East, which uses AJC’s unique architecture to work to advance Israel’s place in the Middle East, North Africa and beyond.
