Michael Sieveking is American Jewish Committee’s (AJC) Director of U.S. Diplomatic Engagement. Based in Washington, DC, Michael leads AJC’s diplomatic outreach to European embassies, manages AJC’s Transatlantic Friends of Israel (TFI) interparliamentary group in Congress, and directs the AJC-Adenauer Exchange Program in the United States. Previously, Michael served as the Deputy Director of the AJC Transatlantic Institute in Brussels. Before joining AJC in 2013, Michael worked for the chair of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee. A dual U.S./German citizen, he previously held stints at the Israel office of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation and the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) in Berlin. Michael attended McGill University, the University of Cologne, and the University of Potsdam, where he earned his M.A. in Political Science and Jewish Studies.
