Casey Kustin
As AJC’s Chief Impact and Operations Officer, Casey Kustin leads enterprise-wide strategic planning and drives alignment across the organization’s programs, policy, advocacy, and operations. She oversees AJC’s political and policy work and the Office of the CEO, helping translate institutional priorities into coordinated action and measurable impact. Casey joined AJC as Chief of Staff in 2023.
Before joining AJC, she spent nearly 13 years in the United States Congress, serving in several roles for then-Congressman Ted Deutch, including Chief of Staff. In 2013, she also became Staff Director of the House Foreign Affairs Committee’s Subcommittee on the Middle East, North Africa, and Global Counterterrorism, a role she held for 10 years. She has extensive legislative experience, having shepherded major legislation on the U.S.-Israel relationship, efforts to counter Iran’s nuclear program and human rights abuses, and hostage-related issues through Congress. As Staff Director, Casey worked closely with congressional leadership to develop and execute policy to combat antisemitism, promote Israel’s security, and strengthen the broader U.S.-Israel relationship. For her work on hostage issues, she received the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation’s Robert Levinson Excellence in Government Service Award.
Before her work in Congress, Casey served as a legislative assistant in the Florida Senate and began her career in the Florida House of Representatives. She also worked on state and national political campaigns, including leading Jewish outreach for a successful presidential campaign. Casey earned a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications from the University of Florida in 2006 and a master’s degree in strategic public relations from George Washington University.
