Recommended Legislation that Prevents and Counters Antisemitism
AJC urges support for the following legislation that strengthens efforts to prevent and counter antisemitism across society: Congress can advance bipartisan measures that improve security, transparency, education, online accountability, and other protections for Jewish communities.
Jewish American Security Act (Senate – S.4576): Advances targeted measures to address antisemitism across educational settings, religious institutions, community spaces, and online platforms. Take Action
Pray Safe Act (House/Senate – H.R.5645 / S.2947): Establishes a centralized federal clearinghouse for security resources and best practices for houses of worship and nonprofits. Take Action
Platform Accountability and Transparency Act (Senate – S.3292): Expands independent researcher access to platform data to better understand and address online harms, including antisemitism. Take Action
Combating Antisemitism in Artificial Intelligence (House – H.Res.963): Encourages AI platforms to implement stronger safeguards, transparency measures, and expert engagement to prevent antisemitic and violent content targeting Jewish users.
House Resolution Condemning Antisemitic Rhetoric by Prominent Online Personalities (House – H.Res.1239): Condemns antisemitic rhetoric spread by prominent online personalities, including Candace Owens and Hasan Piker, and urges stronger action from platforms and public leaders against hate.
