Dr. Sharon Goldman is an accomplished Jewish communal leader, educator, fundraiser, and political strategist with executive leadership and academic experience spanning Israel and the United States. Her career has focused on Jewish communal affairs, Israel engagement, public policy, coalition building, donor development, and leadership cultivation.
Most recently, Sharon has served as Director of the Kivunim Gap-Year Program in Jerusalem, directing Strategic operations, curriculum development, and multi-country educational journeys while focusing much of her love and energy on mentoring students through complex nuanced conversations around Israel, pluralism, civic responsibility, and global Jewish identity in a progressively more challenging environment.
Prior to Kivunim, Sharon served as Vice President of Global Resource Development at Bar-Ilan University, where she expanded donor engagement, strategic outreach, and strengthened international partnerships. Her previous executive leadership includes serving as Vice President at Shalem College and nearly 12 years at AIPAC in senior political and regional leadership roles overseeing advocacy, leadership development, fundraising and community engagement while managing a staff of more than seventy professionals.
Throughout her career, she has built strong relationships with elected officials, major donors, communal leaders, clergy, students, and civic partners, with a longstanding commitment to strengthening Jewish life, building bridges across communities, and cultivating the next generation of leaders.
Sharon holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Yale University—where she was named a National Science Foundation fellow. Her commentary and analysis on contemporary political affairs, antisemitism, and Jewish identity have been published in leading outlets including Commentary Magazine and The Forward.
