Wendy Rhein is AJC’s Vice President for Regional Offices, South. In this role she oversees the programmatic, advocacy and fundraising success of AJC’s offices in Miami/Broward, Washington DC, Sarasota/West Coast Florida, Palm Beach, and Atlanta while also serving as the strategic development liaison for all regional offices in the US. Wendy is a lifelong nonprofit professional who has spent much of her career in fundraising and development with large and small organizations leading fundraising teams and campaigns, strategic planning, foundation giving, major gifts, events, launching and supporting national/regional teams, and organizational and board development. Most recently the Senior Director of Philanthropy for Repair the World, Wendy understands the national/regional dynamic having been a Regional Director for the Mid-Atlantic; Director, President’s Office; and the Senior Director, Strategic Partnerships and Campaigns for UNICEF USA. She also served as Chief of Staff for the World Food Program USA, Chief Strategy and Engagement Officer for the Points of Light Foundation, and Chief Advancement Officer for the Legal Services Corporation among other roles.
Wendy holds a BA in Communications and Women’s Studies from the University of Michigan and a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University. She holds certifications in nonprofit strategic planning, facilitation, and crisis management. Outside of work, Wendy is a sheep farmer, a writer, and mother of two living in Western North Carolina.
