Empowering Teen Leaders to Be Jewish Advocates
About LFT
LFT is AJC’s flagship leadership program that empowers Jewish high school students to build confident Jewish identities. It is now offered in 13 regions across the country and has served over 3,500 students. Through immersive learning, hands-on experience, and critical skill-building, LFT prepares students to combat antisemitism, engage meaningfully with their communities, and advocate for the Jewish people and Israel—in high school, on campus, and beyond.

Impact from New England LFT Students
LFT students in New England have applied their advocacy learnings to have a real impact on their communities. Here are just a few examples:
- In response to antisemitic graffiti at their high school, one LFT student took the initiative to organize a unity rally and played a key role in founding the school’s Jewish Student Union to raise awareness and educate peers about Jewish culture and issues.
- One student organized a workshop at her school to help students and teachers practice having difficult conversations about the Israeli- Palestinian conflict. The workshop was called From Conflict to Connection.
- A LFT student proactively collaborated with their history teacher to ensure that materials on the Middle East were fair and balanced.
