American Jewish Committee Atlanta (AJC Atlanta) is pleased to announce that we are now accepting applications for our award-winning leadership development opportunity for rising high school sophomores and juniors – Leaders For Tomorrow (LFT)!
LFT enables young Jewish leaders to develop skills to advocate on behalf of the Jewish people, Israel, and human rights around the world, and to serve as positive change agents for their peers and community. AJC's goal is to ensure that graduates of the program enter college with the knowledge and confidence to engage in ongoing dialogue regarding anti-Semitism and Israel.
LFT will consist of up to eight high-level, participatory training sessions once a month on Sundays from 5:00 to 8:00 PM beginning in Fall 2018. A majority of sessions will take place at AJC Atlanta's office in Buckhead. All sessions will include a Kosher dinner.
*These dates are subject to change
In addition to the above dates, LFT students are invited to take part in supplementary opportunities. These programs are not yet on the calendar, but we will keep you informed with as much notice as possible.
Topics covered will include past and current Israeli affairs, challenges and opportunities facing global Jewry, and how to utilize strategic networks in advocacy.
Admission to this program is highly competitive and will include no more than 30 students. Participants will be selected based on their application and an interview. There is no cost to participate. The application due date is Thursday, May 31.
