AJC Dallas proudly hosted the 2025 Diplomatic Seder at the Meadows Museum at SMU, bringing together a distinguished group of AJC leaders, diplomats, donors, and friends for an evening of dialogue, cultural exchange, and community.
Through the retelling of the Passover story, participants reflected on timeless themes of freedom, justice, and human dignity, and explored their relevance to today’s global challenges. The program offered a unique space for diplomacy rooted in tradition, where ancient rituals helped spark meaningful modern conversations.
Diplomatic representatives from Canada, Chile, Germany, India, Japan, Mexico, the Netherlands, Norway, Peru, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, and Ukraine were in attendance, underscoring the broad international engagement American Jewish Committee cultivates around the world and here in Dallas.
We are especially grateful to Honorary Chair, SMU President Jay Hartzell, for his leadership and support, and a deep thank you goes to our dedicated Planning Committee as well: Stuart Blaugrund, Liz Horowitz, Marlo Michaeli, Alek Pearlman, Mike Sims, Tina Wasserman, Harriet Whiting, and Lauren Zlotky.
A special acknowledgment also goes to Honorary Consul of Spain Janet Kafka, whose generous assistance helped secure the stunning Meadows Museum setting, even though she was unable to attend.
The 2025 Diplomatic Seder served as a powerful reminder of AJC’s enduring commitment to advancing mutual understanding, strengthening democratic values, and building bridges across cultures and nations.
