AJC Welcomes Trump Administration Plan to End Israel-Hamas War
September 29 2025
We thank the Trump Administration for its sustained leadership in its effort to bring an end to this war that preserves Israel's security and sees the return of all remaining hostages, and provides a path to long-term durable peace that sees a prosperous future for both Israelis and Palestinians.

AJC welcomes Israel's acceptance of the U.S. plan, as well as the regional Arab and international support outlined by President Trump. The world should be united in ensuring this plan can succeed. It is now up to Hamas to put an end to this violent conflict it started on October 7, 2023.

AJC Statement Marking Five Years of the Abraham Accords
September 15 2025
Just as the 2020 Accords did not materialize overnight, neither will their expansion. Even as we face unprecedented challenges in the region, there is reason for hope and a necessity for this work to continue. We must build on the foundation laid five years ago – for a new era of regional cooperation, greater stability, and the opportunity for a future defined by prosperity rather than perpetual conflict.

AJC Statement on Belgium’s Announcement Regarding Palestinian Statehood
September 4 2025
Belgium’s announcement of its intention to recognize a Palestinian state is, like similar pronouncements from other nations, counterproductive to the stated goal of achieving a two-state solution, even with Brussels making clear that such recognition is dependent upon the fulfillment of specific, well-defined conditions.

UCCA, AJC Mark Ukrainian Independence Day, Urge Continued International Support for the Ukrainian People
August 22 2025
As Ukraine once again marks Independence Day in the midst of war, the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America (UCCA) and American Jewish Committee (AJC) reaffirm our commitment to the principles enshrined in Ukraine's 1991 declaration of independence, including that “the territory of Ukraine is indivisible and inviolable.” This Independence Day serves not only as a moment to honor 34 years of this historic achievement, but also as a poignant reminder of the ongoing 42-month struggle against Russia’s full-scale, unprovoked military invasion—an escalation of the war that began in 2014.

AJC Statement on the Indictment of the Capital Jewish Museum Shooter
August 7 2025
“Sarah Milgrim (z”l) and Yaron Lischinsky’s (z”l) young lives and full potential were horrifically stolen on May 21 outside the Capital Jewish Museum after they left an AJC event. This deliberate and heinous act was a deeply personal tragedy for their families and for the entire AJC community. It was an assault on the values we hold as Americans, as Jews, and as members of a shared society. Their families deserve justice and healing. We are grateful for the vigor with which the Department of Justice has proceeded thus far, and are confident that it will diligently continue its pursuit of justice for this murderous hate crime.

August 6 2025
American Jewish Committee (AJC), the global advocacy organization for the Jewish people, today ran a full-page advertisement in The New York Times exposing the brutal conditions faced by Israeli hostage Evyatar David. These harrowing images, showing him starved more than 600 days after being kidnapped by Hamas during the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023, should have been front-page news everywhere. Instead, they were largely ignored by major U.S. newspapers.

August 5 2025
American Jewish Committee (AJC), the global advocacy organization for the Jewish people, is deeply concerned by the findings published today in the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s (FBI) Reported Crimes in the Nation 2024 – Hate Crime Statistics report. The data show that religiously motivated hate crime incidents have increased year-over-year, with incidents targeting Jews rising at a faster pace than the national average. Anti-Jewish hate crime incidents continue to reach record highs, with this year’s data reflecting the highest number of such incidents since the FBI began reporting this information.
