Building Cultural Bridges with Japanese Society

Ten young, top Japanese scholars of Jewish studies visited Los Angeles from March 17 to 19 to learn about contemporary Jewish life. AJC co-hosted the delegation, which is called the Kakehashi Project. The group visited museums, met with Jewish leaders from diverse denominations and backgrounds, and toured Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion and Wilshire Boulevard Temple, among many other activities.
