Kimberley Plotnik

Regional Director, Los Angeles
Kimberly Plotnick Headshot

Kimberley Plotnik is the AJC Regional Director of Los Angeles. She previously served as Program Director of Esperanza Immigrant Rights Project at Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, where she led one of the nation’s largest nonprofit immigration legal services programs, providing pro bono legal services to more than 8,000 indigent immigrants annually. Before that, she served as Civil Rights Area Counsel for the Anti-Defamation League, advancing civil rights initiatives addressing emerging issues affecting Jewish communities and combating other forms of discrimination while engaging community leaders, policymakers, and partner organizations.

Throughout her career, Kimberley has worked at the intersection of civil rights, immigrant justice, and community engagement. She has collaborated with government leaders, nonprofit organizations, legal institutions, and community partners to advance strategic initiatives, strengthen partnerships, and expand programs. Earlier in her career, she served as a volunteer attorney with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Uganda and practiced law in Melbourne, Australia.

Kimberley holds an LL.M., with honors, in Human Rights and Immigration Law from UCLA School of Law and is admitted to the California Bar. She earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws (equivalent to a J.D.) from Monash University in Australia. She is also a graduate of the OneJustice Nonprofit Executive Fellowship and the ADL Glass Leadership Institute.

Kimberley is committed to strengthening the Jewish community through advocacy, relationship-building, and civic engagement. She is honored to advance AJC’s mission of enhancing the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel while building meaningful partnerships throughout the Los Angeles community.
