Joseph Simons, Director of ACCESS Global, joins AJC following a career in national security and cybersecurity, as well as lay leadership roles within AJC, including service on the Washington, DC Regional Office Board and as President of the ACCESS Washington, DC Board. During his 12 years of service in the U.S. Navy Reserve, Joseph was deployed as an intelligence officer and Arabic interpreter in support of special operations forces around the world. He also worked as a civilian in the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs and has held additional roles across the national security enterprise. More recently, he served as a cybersecurity management consultant and risk manager in the financial and technology sectors. Joseph is a lifetime member of Jewish War Veterans of America and previously served as chapter coordinator and instructor for the Washington, DC chapter of Guitars for Vets. He holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy from The Fletcher School at Tufts University and a Bachelor of Arts from McGill University. Originally from outside Boston, Massachusetts, Joseph is a proud alumnus of the Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston.
