As Senior Vice President, Diplomatic Affairs, Daniel Silver plays a key leadership role within AJC’s Global Affairs Department, which advances the organization’s international policy priorities. He leads AJC’s diplomatic engagement strategy and oversees the agency’s network of institutes focused on strengthening relationships with global partners and advancing strategic advocacy initiatives.
Silver most recently served as AJC’s Director of Global Events, where he managed a cross-functional team tasked with the planning and execution of major conferences and events, virtual advocacy programming, and strategic missions for AJC lay leaders. Earlier in his career, Silver began his tenure at AJC with the Asia Pacific Institute (API), where he helped strengthen the organization’s presence across Asia and built strategic relationships with diplomats, policymakers, and civil society partners.
Silver earned his M.A. in East Asian Studies from Columbia University and holds a B.A. in International Studies and Chinese from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He speaks Mandarin Chinese and is an active member of his local Jewish community.
