Community of Conscience at AJC Global Forum 2019

On Sunday, June 2, 2019, during AJC Global Forum, AJC unveiled the Community of Conscience in a landmark event in Washington, D.C. The gathering featured Dr. Bernice King, daughter of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; Rev. Eric Manning of Mother Emanuel AME Church in Charleston; and Rabbi Jeffrey Myers of Tree of Life Congregation in Pittsburgh, along with other faith, ethnic, and civic leaders and AJC partners. With President Truman’s and Dr. King’s historic addresses on race and hatred in America in mind, the Community of Conscience gathered to honor the towering legacy of these visionary American leaders and forge a path for our nation based on their shared commitment to unite against hate and to promote pluralism.
