An AJC delegation led by Associate Executive Director for Policy Jason Isaacson, accompanied by Asia Pacific Institute Director Shira Loewenberg, concluded a visit to Colombo, following a successful visit to New Delhi earlier this week.
An AJC delegation has concluded a visit to New Delhi celebrating the warm and vigorous relationship between India and the United States, and the increasingly close Israel-India ties, marked most recently by Prime Minister Modi's successful visit to Jerusalem in early July.
“Steadfast defense of democratic values and unwavering commitment to friendship with the United States and Israel are hallmarks of your leadership, and models for other nations to emulate,” said AJC CEO David Harris, who presented the award to the Prime Minister in Tokyo. “Japan is a democratic powerhouse in Asia, an essential ally and partner of the United States, a close friend of Israel, and an anchor of stability in a vital part of the world.”
AJC, the global Jewish advocacy organization, is supporting IsraAID in responding to the devastating floods and landslides that left at least 120 dead and affected over six million people in Nepal.
