“We are inspired by the many accomplishments of this small community over the last eight decades,” said Dina Siegel Vann, Director of AJC’s Belfer Institute for Latino and Latin American Affairs.
“Mihnea Constantinescu was a stalwart supporter of the State of Israel, a leader in the fight against antisemitism, and a true friend of the Jewish people. His untimely passing is a great loss for all of us,” said AJC CEO David Harris.
The Council recently met in Austin to take stock of its 2018 initiatives, address the most pressing developments on its priority agenda, and join in the launching of the Texas LJLC, its first regional affiliate.

AJC has appointed Tomas Kraus as the global Jewish advocacy organization’s representative in Prague. The Czech Republic is one of seven countries in the region that AJC Central Europe, based in Warsaw, engages. The other six are Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Slovakia.
