American Jewish Committee (AJC) is urging New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to reconsider, together with legislators, recent changes to the state’s criminal law that in effect favor perpetrators over victims of antisemitic hate crimes.
We all need to send the message that antisemitism in any form is unacceptable, that there is no room in these United States for bigotry or prejudice,” said Isaacson in remarks before the House Homeland Security Subcommittee on Intelligence and Counterterrorism.
“Once again, our fellow citizens in Puerto Rico are in dire need of assistance due to a major natural disaster,” said AJC CEO David Harris. “Our longstanding involvement with the citizens of this American Commonwealth — and our ties with Puerto Rican communities — move us to act with compassion.”
AJC commends South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem for signing an executive order prohibiting state offices from doing business with companies that boycott Israel.
