An American Jewish Committee (AJC) leadership delegation concluded a week of meetings and conversations with senior government officials, policy analysts, business leaders, high-ranking military officers, U.S. diplomats, and other interlocutors in the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain. The group's talks continued AJC’s more than three decades of engagement, trust-building, and advocacy across the Middle East, furthered by the recent launch of AJC’s Center for a New Middle East.

For the first time in the history of American Jewish Committee’s State of Antisemitism in America Report, a majority (56%) of American Jews report changing their behavior out of fear of antisemitism. The 2024 report, released today, is the first analysis of American Jews and U.S. adults to look at the impact of antisemitism during the full year following October 7, 2023, and the Hamas-launched war against Israel.

American Jewish Committee (AJC) San Francisco today welcomed the announcement of agreements between the Department of Education and UC Davis and UC Santa Cruz, which include training for university employees, public safety officers, and law enforcement “about the university’s policies, procedures, and obligations under Title VI” and measures to ensure these schools better communicate with students who have made Title VI complaints and the student body at large about antisemitism on campus.
