Your Department
The Development team strategically plans, organizes, and executes fundraising initiatives to secure financial support for the organization's mission and activities. This includes cultivating strong relationships with donors, executing events, implementing campaigns, and ensuring effective stewardship of contributions. We collaborate with regional offices to support and improve fundraising operations at the local level, expanding the organization's reach and impact.
Your Impact
This position makes an impact at AJC by providing effective execution of tasks and providing essential support to the success of the team/department; may lead significant projects or mentor/train others. Works with light supervision to solve routine and moderately complex problems and make routine and moderately complex decisions. Incumbents provide essential administrative support to their supervisor. The Executive Assistant serves as a gatekeeper and will ensure that the department operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Executive Assistant is responsible for completing a variety of administrative, operations, and communications tasks and assisting with or leading projects and initiatives aligned with AJC’s priorities.
Your Role
• Support the execution of the department's strategy, goals, objectives, and action plans by completing a variety of administrative tasks
• Coordinate logistics and communications for advocacy and outreach projects, events, and meetings
• Plan and implement research projects
• Maintain calendars and schedule appointments and meetings
• Arrange complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas
• Process expense reports and other tracking/reporting tasks
• Maintain inventory of office supplies
• Take notes at meetings with internal and external stakeholders
• Organize and maintain department documentation files
• Maintain the department's contacts and mailing lists
• Execute departmental reporting and tracking (e.g., financial reports, budgets, expenses, program updates, donor contributions, contracts)
• Serve as a main point of contact for AJC colleagues and external stakeholders
• Serve as the gatekeeper for access to the senior manager
• Organize, prioritize, and manage incoming and outgoing communications (phone calls, email, and mail)
• Respond timely to inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare and disseminate group mailings
• Draft and edit correspondence, documents, spreadsheets, and other communication materials
Specific to This Role
The Assistant to the Chief Development Officer oversees and executes a range of projects including analysis of overall donor trends, creating standard operating procedures, executing a calendar of regular cross-department meetings, professionalizing the management of AJC’s prospect base, stewarding major donors, among other responsibilities.

• Bachelor's degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience and advanced job skills and knowledge

Compensation
Salary range is $60,000 to $70,000 dependent on relevant experience.
