A Conversation with H.E. Nikos Christodoulides, Foreign Minister of Cyprus - Cosponsored by the Hellenic American Leadership Council

American Jewish Committee (AJC) and Hellenic American Leadership Council (HALC) have long partnered to advocate for security and prosperity in the Eastern Mediterranean, and strong relations among Cyprus, Greece, Israel, and the United States. Cyprus, a critical partner of Israel and the United States, has been a quiet player in establishing a new regional dynamic far deeper than most observers realize and which has profound consequences for AJC and HALC’s priorities. Nikos Christodoulides, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Cyprus, a close friend of both AJC and HALC, will discuss his vision for the next steps in Cyprus-Israel and Cyprus-U.S. relations, and emerging trends in the Eastern Mediterranean.

This program is being offered exclusively to members of AJC’s National Leadership Council. To learn more about AJC’s Donor Recognition Societies, please click here.

Advocacy Anywhere powered by AJC Campus Crash Cource

Why are Student Governments Obsessed with Israel?

Student government should be an opportunity to develop leadership skills, work with diverse groups of student leaders to improve campus life, and plan fulfilling programs for one’s peers. So why does it seem like many student governments have become little more than a platform for constant vilification of Israel, and of Jews for supporting the Jewish state?  How can Jewish students and their supporters change the conversation in student government to enable student leaders to focus on the issues that directly impact the lives and wellbeing of the campus community? Join us to hear from student leaders who have first-hand experience working to push student governments to act as a means of improving student life, instead of an arena for petty geopolitical battles.
