Jeffrey Sinensky

Jeffrey Sinensky has been general counsel and director of AJC's Domestic Policy department since 1998. The department ensures that AJC remains a driving force in fighting to preserve the religious freedom and civil rights of all Americans. Over the years, he has supervised the preparation of more than 150 amicus curiae briefs submitted to state and federal courts. In addition, he has lobbied and briefed senior legislative and executive branch officials, testified before Congress, and supervised research relating to anti-Semitism and political extremism. Prior to joining AJC, Sinensky was the legal affairs and civil rights director for the Anti-Defamation League. He also served as a senior member of the Appeals Bureau and as deputy chief of the Indictment Bureau for the Bronx County District Attorney's Office. A cum laude graduate of Brooklyn College, he received his law degree with honors from St. John's University School of Law. He is admitted to the New York State Bar, the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
